Third Grade
Dear Parents,
Students should be proud of all their accomplishments this past month. They used different strategies to solve division equations and were able to see the relationship between multiplication and division.
Character traits were determined and described while covering the story, " The Extra-good Sunday." The latest issue of Scholastic News was used to read and discuss current events and relevant topics.
The main focus in English was to improve writing skills. Students continued working on a chapter about matter, especially dealing with physical and chemical changes.
Lenten practices were reviewed. They also read about Holy Week and Easter and did related activities. The Tale of Three Trees was read aloud. Afterwards, they worked on a Lenten art project.
Everyone enjoyed their break week and had a lot to talk about when they returned to school. Taking the Aspire Test was a new experience. The challenge was met with impressive concentration and determination.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Winecki
